It’s apparent that the WebExtensions API does not support Firefox’s Bookmarks Library. I’d like to see developed a WebExtension replacement for the legacy Show Parent Folder and Go Parent Folder add-ons, but without an API to the Library of bookmarks, I don’t see how one could add a Parent folder column to the table.
Is this (a bookmarks-Library API) something that is planned? What other route could I take to do this as an extension, or even in the base code for the library? From my search of Discourse, there is a lot of lamenting for loss of these add-ons.
