About this session
The persecution of Swedish privacy and open source advocate Ola Bini has drawn grave concern from the UN, Amnesty, EFF, and 80+ tech and human rights groups globally. We invite the MozFest community to join us for this urgent interactive session:
-
Brief update on the case of the renowned human rights defender and its implications for our community more broadly, showing the alarming growing trend in the criminalisation of tech expertise.
-
Interactive strategy session to brainstorm campaign strategies with the MozFest community, how to grow international solidarity and to prevent this from happening to other members of our privacy and digital rights community.
Goals of this session
The goal is to build relationships at MozFest, to build awareness of this campaign and brainstorm ideas around campaign strategies internationally and how to create a compelling narrative around a complicated politicised tech case.
