About this session
We open up a hackfeminist safer space in time where we can create and explore our multidentities juntxs. Together, we experiment with creative ways to accompany eachother in the creation of our selves, and how to enrich our communities and interconnections through collaborative experimentation, play and joy as technologies. Our journey will not stop at the edges of gender and sexuality, but will venture to further aspects of our identities: How human do we feel? How do we build interpersonal networks? We'll inhabit the tecnomagia as a provocation for the radical imagination: to transmute our speculative fiction into our speculative multirealities.
Each participant creates their own character to inhabit during the session. Then, participants group up to build communities according to their own joys and desires. Finally, communities get together and work to avert an impending calamity.
NOTE: Participants must be present from the beginning of the session.
Goals of this session
We want to foster a safer space where folks can create a queer hackfeminist sci-fi experience to reconnect with the power of imagination as a technology of collective resistance. Folks will build collective knowledge to aid in imagining new universes without dichotomizing the digital and physical worlds. People will leave this session confident that they have agency to explore new aspects of their multidimensional forms, and with the tools to accompany their communities in this collective and self-creative process, not as a reaction to dystopia, but as a collective action of resilience.
