Some users of uBlock Origin can’t install the latest version and are instead served with the following message:

The addon could not be installed because it does not match the add-on Firefox expected.

This was reported many times on GitHub: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/issues/1373.

Also, in the Reviews section of uBlock Origin on AMO: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/reviews/.

Are there known issues related to this error message?

This could be bug 1249402.

That bug is resolved yet this issue persists. I’m still unable to install ublock 1.6.2 on Firefox Android Beta with this error message.
