Taking full page screenshot no longer an option

Hello! First of all, great work on all of the awesome things going on with Firefox recently.

Recently, in the past week or two, I’ve noticed that the option to take full page screenshots has disappeared (sometime during FF56).

Here’s what I’m seeing. Perhaps the ability to take full page screenshots still exists, however, it isn’t obvious to the end-user such as myself.

A weird sequence of events took place where someone filed a issue on Screenshots’ Github page to report a issue with full page screenshots being delayed on certain sites. Since the problem was complicated to fix, it was quickly decided to remove the full page screenshot ability until it could be fixed at a later date. B/c it could not be fixed in time for the Screenshots feature debut in Firefox 55, which is set to release on August 8.

There was disagreement over doing this but the call was still made. All this took place here:

Basically it’s Imgur’s & Giphy’s fault this happened since they have too much data on most of their pages. :unamused:

You can still use the Dev Tools fullpage screenshot though by doing Shift+F2 then “screenshot --fullpage filename” in the Developer Toolbar.

Thanks for the reply! I’m glad to hear that it will return at some point through a button, but it’s good to know that I can still take a full page shot with the developer toolbar.
