What are these strange graphics that have appeared on the themes. I cannot find any information about them anywhere.
I have made sure my account was not hacked. I do not want to click on them until I know what they do.
Please help

I am not sure what strange graphics you mean. This is a preview of how the theme will look when applied to your browser.
I mean the strange boxes and lines overlaying the image of the theme. The old preview did not have these boxes or lines; you just hovered over the the chosen theme to see it previewed in your browser.
I know that facility disappeared with recent updates; so are you suggesting that these new boxes, circles and lines are being used to re-introduce the preview feature?
These boxes and lines stylize the Firefox UI. You can see a selected tab, a tab, the address bar and toolbar buttons. This is so you can see how the theme affects all these UI elements. You will get a similar preview in the add-ons manager once a theme is installed.
