Has anyone been able to open Slack in Side View?
It keeps telling me to use the desktop app or to download the app from Google Play.

Yeah, you have to click “Ask for Desktop Site” in the Side View toolbar button menu. By default Side View opens mobile versions of sites to better fit the narrow sidebar, but it appears that Slack detects mobile web access and displays a call to download the app rather than display the Slack web app.
