Sharing Experience and Resources Collected in Starting an Online Localization Sprint (2 Weeks) (30+ Registrations)

Hello lovely Reps,

We just started a Online Localization Sprint for ne_NP with goals to complete Localization of Firefox for Android (and some parts of Firefox Desktop). Since there were a lot of new localizers interested to take part, we consolidated some resources to provide them. I’m posting it here so that some other community might use them in their events.

Presentation Regarding Pootle Usage (Basic) and some Basic Localization Principles.

Another thing we found useful was to set the priority of which product needs to be localized. The priority were set on the following basis:

  1. Usefulness of the localized content
  2. Potential Market
  3. How fast the Localization can Hit the Daily Builds - This would increase motivation to localizers since they see their work implemented early.

Hope this will be useful to someone out there!
