Hello Fellow Mozillians!
Today is Data Privacy Day; an international holiday that occurs every 28 January. The purpose of Data Privacy Day is to create awareness about respecting privacy, safeguarding data, enabling trust and promoting privacy and data protection best practices.
In late 2018 we launched the Firefox Public Data Report to empower developers, journalists, and the overall public to better understand the state of the web and the direction of trends in web browsing; also because we believe in an open web, so data and insights from the public should be made public, so the public can benefit.
The Public Data Report was done with a focus on our Lean Data Practices where all data presented in the report has been anonymized and aggregated to ensure user privacy. The report also provides some great insights into Tracking Protection and Add-ons trends in the Usage Behavior section that highlight how important it is to our users.
Do you have a great story about how you use or have used lean data to power decisions at Mozilla or the Open Web? We would love to hear your Lean Data Story, tell us here!
