Restructuring Community Hosting Part 1

Hi,

As part of restructuring the Community Hosting program to be easier, quicker and more efficient, I had a thought about delegating tasks.

Right now, we tend to delegate a whole bug to someone, and they take the whole bug, but that leaves a lot of strain on that person (often myself) to do lots of things at once. To resolve this, we could possibly experiment with delegating individual parts of a task to people.

An example of typical delegation could be:
Nikos => Google Apps & Managing Approval
Jan => Hosting Accounts
Tad => Triaging bugs, delegating and requesting SSL/Domain etc
Arzhel => Creating accounts at OVH

Please leave any thoughts on this. Note that the above is just an example based on the current system with a couple of changes, so don’t base thoughts on this example. We’ll come up with a mutually agreed one if we go forward with this.

I think it makes sense to have concrete tasks per person. I can significantly speed up the triage/delegation process.

And personally I’m total ok with handling the Google Apps requests :smile:
