Reps.mozilla.org session incident

Hello reps.mozilla.org friends!

We had an issue with user sessions that should be fixed now.

• What happened

  • reps.mozilla.org users got logged out randomly

• What was the issue

  • The connection to the cache backend was flaky and our user sessions rely on some logic based in caching.

• Steps taken

  • Moved to AWS elasticcache as a memcache backend
  • Verified that caching is back up and running
