Reconnect to Sync

I’ve tried and tried to connect Notes to my Firefox account (so I can sync Notes between browser and Android app). No matter what I do, it keeps returning to the Reconnect to Sync button at the bottom of the Notes panel.

Is there something I’m missing about the sync feature?

I have also the same problem. No matter what I try, it keeps telling me “Reconnect to Sync”.
My browser is always in private mode.
