Review Queue state (listed add-ons only)

The tables below represent the state of the review queues at different points in time, divided into 3 “buckets” depending on how long they have been waiting. Ideally we want all nominations and updates to be under 5 days, so our goal is to have 100% of reviews on the third column.

More

For more information on how the review process works, and how you can check your add-on review status, please read An Overview of the AMO Review Process.

Any estimate of when add-ons waiting for admin review can be reviewed? It has been 2 months and a half now with no email answers, and the available version of my add-on is 20 versions behind the recent one.

No one knows? At the Mozilla amoeditors IRC channel no one answers, amo-editors email sent no replies back either and now the forums are also following the same trend.

As it stands now, flagging an add-on for admin review is essentially dooming it to never be updated again because it is stuck in a broken system that apparently absolutely no one is taking care of.

We don’t have any good estimates for admin-flagged add-ons. There’s a new admin reviewer coming on board within a few weeks (don’t know when exactly, sorry), so that should help. Unfortunately I don’t have any more information and I haven’t been able to help in that area myself.

Thank’s Jorge, that’s already more than enough helpful information. Wish the flag would reset when a new version is uploaded because currently the admin review system is absolutely stopped for almost 3 months, making any add-on developer in this situation completely unable to do anything other than suggest users to install the unsigned version in the archive section until the next Firefox version no longer lets them install unsigned add-ons. Then it will be even more of a problem because the only option is to suggest users to install a signed add-on not hosted in AMO, which is not allowed to be done so the add-ons will be filled with negative reviews as a direct result of a completely broken system because we aren’t even allowed to provide the alternative while the add-on is sutck waiting to be reviewed for months.

I don’t even know the average time it takes for flagged add-ons to be reviewed because this statistic isn’t even part of the weekly status, not even the total amount of add-ons pending admin review. From experience I can only assume that it is taking a lot more than 3 months.
