Password Exporter not recognizing a csv file?

I’m trying to export my Last Pass credentials to FF. I exported the credentials from LP to a .csv file. I installed Password Exporter to read the csv file into FF. However, PE throws an error not recognizing same. The moderator on the FF forum suggested I contact the developer who may not have updated his extension to the latest version of FF? I couldn’t find an email address for the developers so I’m posting here?

The internal format of the CSV file is very important. It’s likely that the CSV exported by LastPass isn’t compatible with the CSV format used by Password Exporter.

I’m sort of keeping the add-on alive, but I have little time to dedicate to it.
