About this session

The open e-learning tool will be presented with participants able to use the tool in real-time on their device or follow along on a screen, as the facilitators describes the different functions and purposes of the e-tool’s features. We will play one of the episodes in the series to showcase how the features of the platform are presented to the user to learn about effective policy- and change-making. Each episode will feature Deep Dives (such as extended interviews and infographics), definition pop-ups, and explain how these additional features are organized in a user friendly and familiar method, similar to Netflix.

Goals of this session

The goal is to introduce a new open e-learning tool to open up the policy and change-making process through a new multimedia approach to learning. Case-based learning in public policy-making is ripe for a media-powered reboot. We want to bring this tried-and-true method into the 21st century by leveraging the power of digital technology and popular storytelling. Participants will be introduced to the tool through a digital case study so that participants can understand how the tool is used in the classroom and beyond by students, professionals, activists and the general public. Participants will leave the session with an understanding of the purpose and function of the new e-learning tool, where it can be applied, and how it can be effective to open up change-making.
