NPAPI plugin inactive in reviewed extension

I have submitted an extension containing a NPAPI plugin, named “WinTask x64”. After being preliminarily reviewed, I have been provided a download link for my extension. In the downloaded extension, the NPAPI plugin is inactive, it’s not even listed in the “Plugins” list. The local version of the extension has been tested and the plugin should work.
Are the NPAPI plugins already banned in Firefox? From what I read, they will be unsupported by the end of 2016, but not really right now. I need this to work because the bootstrapped, no-plugin, multiprocess-ready version of the extension is still under testing and I need the old version with the NPAPI plugin to work until these tests are passed.

It should be possible to install plugins from an add-on, but the plugin will be click-to-activate by default.
