Notes don't sync between Browser on Desktop and Android App

Hi there, as i understood, the Notes app on Android is supposed to sync with the browser addon but it does not work for me.

I also noticed that, when i try to login with my Smartphone, it on the first attempt always states my password was wrong (which is definitely isn’t), but as soon as i hit the button a second time, it enteres the app and prompts about successful sync.
May it possible that my Smartphone’s notes remain local anyway?

My Smartphone is running on Android 8.1.0

…oh and i just realized that the Firefox on my Laptop also does not sync the notes, it starts from scratch… . :sob:

ARGH! I did not see that i have to login in the Addon as well, sorry!

Sync: Notes on Android

A couple of days ago I used Notes 4.3.2 with Waterfox 56.2.6 on FreeBSD-CURRENT to add one note. This synchronised note is:

  • present in Notes with Firefox 65.0,1 on FreeBSD-CURRENT
  • present in Notes on Android.

A few weeks ago (2018-11-13) I used Notes on Android for the first time. Bugged by https://github.com/mozilla/notes/issues/1368 at the time so I rarely touched the app after that.

Today I find that eight of my (2018-11-13) notes on Android are not synced with (to) either of the more recent installations of the Notes extension. In the app, the Last synced … status appears OK – apparently syncing frequently enough, with no visible error, but truly there must be an error somewhere.

@vladikoff @natim je vois some open sync-related issues in GitHub but nothing like this. SVP should I create a new issue?
