I think we would need to define and document as an SOP a clear policy about new categories requests because right now it’s up to the Rep approver criteria.
I can’t find the policy for Mozilla mailing list creation, but I think we should follow a similar (or the same) approach. Last time I checked @gerv was in charge of mailing lists approvals, maybe he can give us guidance here.
