Need some guides to contribute on Application Security

Hi, I just completed my MS degree in Computer Science and was focused on computer security field. I have highly interest in application security area and have taken time to read Firefox OS app reviewer guide and criteria(
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Marketplace/Reviewers/Apps/Guide/SecReviewTraining
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Marketplace/Publishing/Marketplace_review_criteria),
but then I found out it seems I have to fill out the application and submit my own app to marketplace since there is a required field for my own app url. Could anyone tell me what other options I have to contribute here?
A little about my background and experience:
I have good understanding of OWASP top 25 and common web application vulnerabilities. Moreover, I have some pentesting experience when I took OSCP course and familiar with fuzzing techniques. More details can be found in my LinkedIn profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/yuyangcs
I think it will be better if some of you can take a look at my profile and tell me if I can help anything here and in the meantime, gain some experience on real work. Thanks.

hello @yuyang753 , sorry for the laaate reply.

I think the best way is to start from the base and learn going up.

Check this out Marketplace/Contributing
You can do quite a number of things in there. If you get lost, just come back

Cheers.

Moved to mozillians

If you’re interested in contributing outside Firefox OS, it would be brilliant if you could review a project I’m currently working on, which is the SSO system to be used with Mozilla’s Discourse instances.

I assume I haven’t done anything idiotic, but there’s always the possibility…
