I made a theme for personal use, and it looks fine in the add-ons section, but when applied, it appears much larger and you can only see half of it. Is there anyway to fix this? I spent an hour on the design and I would hate to have to do it again.
How it looks when it’s installed is what matters, and you can’t change it without changing the image.
I noticed that too. I’d also like to know how to fix this, or if it’s fixable.
Please, can you explain why it doesn’t display properly considering the length and width specifications are correct?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The image you see on AMO or the Add-ons Manager shows most of the theme. When you install it, only the top right corner will be visible, so it’s up to the theme designer to make the theme in a way that it will look good when installed. The reason theme images are so large is to accommodate various screen resolutions and toolbar setups. Unfortunately the current system is very inflexible, so the way you see themes on the site is inconsistent on how they will appear when installed.
Thank you. I’m getting the hang of it now.
