I really need a way to easily navigate between the categories I care about. I think I’d want it in a sidebar, or maybe an icon across the top next to notifications/search.
It’d be great if it were just the categories I am watching/tracking.

Currently I’m mostly using the “New” and “Unread” links at the top. This might work quite well right now, but I’m not sure about the future if more and more categories pop up that I want to track. After some threshold, I think having a navigation and work through the different categories is more efficient. Therefore, yes!
Yes, for a consumer the status quo works really well, but since I manage a team that uses this as our main async communication, and participate in a few others, I am really feeling the lack of creative UI as opposed to responsive.
