This session is facilitated by Neil Ainsworth, Elise Ainsworth
About this session
Using the little-known graphics programming language ‘Processing’, attendees will create a ‘MozFest Monster’ (or mythical beast) using functions and lines of code. They will make their monsters simply, with a variety of shapes and colours. Participants will be able to work together if they wish, or individually, but will have time to look at other attendees’ work and learn from each other.
Goals of this session
To introduce participants to ‘Processing’ an innovative and user friendly graphics programming language based on Java. People will learn how to combine art, mathematics and computer science in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
After the participants have created their ‘MozFest Monster’ using the interface, I will, with their permission, put it on Twitter, for the internet community to see. I hope that this will be a fun way for them to share their creativity and new experience online.
