This session is facilitated by Charlotte Fountain, Hasan Ali
About this session
We’ll give a quick introduction to the main principles of evaluation. Then we’ll get hands-on starting by creating logic models for a digital product. Logic models are useful in any project to focus on the outcomes you’re trying to achieve, and what activities you’ll carry out to get there.
Next we’ll focus on how to measure those outcomes, and what evaluation methods to use. In small teams we will discuss which methods are most appropriate for evaluating which outcomes.
People will leave knowing how to create a logic model, and how to choose the right indicators and methods for their digital product, or an example digital product.
Together we hope to help people create more evidence-based digital health products, and make sure that the products people use benefit their health.
Goals of this session
Come along to learn how to carry out evaluation on the digital products that you design and build. This session is for anyone who wants to understand if their digital product or service is effective and impactful. This session will be especially useful for digital teams working in healthcare and social design.
Currently, a lot of digital health apps and websites are developed, without a clear benefit to public health. At Public Health England we want to change that, so all digital health products benefit the health of the people that use them.
People who attend will learn how to focus on the outcomes they’re trying to achieve, and how best to understand whether they’ve reached those outcomes.
