Is this Test Pilot project differetn from the containers feature built into Nightly?

I just noticed that Firefox Nightly still has its own containers feature baked in. Is this Test Pilot app different than the one baked in to Nightly?

In playing with the native one, I see that there is a lot more flexibility with the Test Pilots app, including hiding containers, than in the native one.

Will this test pilot have to go through some sort of approval process to be added to the regular Firefox builds?

Yes, the test pilot version has more options which will, hopefully if successful, find their way back to core. This is subject to the evaluation once the experiment is retired. I don’t know that process exactly, so I’ll let somebody else answer that.
