Continuing the discussion from Jira Service Desk:
This support article from Atlassian goes over how to create a custom authenticator. Would anyone want to tackle this? Persona’s future is up in the air, but it’s a good interim solution to provide parity with Bugzilla.
I would hope that if we’re tackling things like this (and adding it to Discourse etc) that perhaps it might change the plans for Persona support.
I guess @leo did the Discourse implementation?
I only added mozillians.org stuff to the existing persona plugin.
That being said, I have got a little bit of experience with implementing Persona, and I’m going to have to do it for SSO anyway. I don’t have any experience with Java, though.
