Imperfect JIRA notifications update

Hi all,

watching an issue makes it almost impossible to use email to keep up with issues, what with getting updated any time a change is made, including fixing typos.

I have made a new notification scheme that removes notifications if an issue is “updated.” It will send a notification on a comment, so if you’ve made a significant change, leave a comment.

I’m trying to figure out how to make some custom events to notify about, like if certain fields are updated, or if the status of the issue has changed.

Let me know if this has broken things for you.

Also, I made a new scheme instead of updating the default, so this might not be applied to your project. It’s called “Sane notifications” if you are a project admin you can switch between the notification schemes yourself.
