This session is facilitated by Thomas Hunter
About this session
After an introduction into this form of hacking (also known as Cross Site Scripting), everyone will pair off and use a little instant messaging application that isn’t secured in the right ways. Then we will test out how this affects the program and how we can abuse it, using fun bits of code and syntax to send messages and commands back and forth. You do not need to have prior knowledge in web development to take part and all ages are welcome to come have fun.
Goals of this session
To have fun hacking each other’s websites and learn about what can make a website easy to break, so that we can see it in our everyday internet surfing and know how a poorly designed website can be dangerous.
