How to Announce the Announcements category

JIRA Issue: DIS-83

We’ve gotta figure out how notify all our users about this.

I just tried PMing our 2.3k users and it errored out (thankfully?).

We could do it in batches, but that would require either a plugin or using the rails console.

Heh, maybe we should subscribe everyone to announcements, then post an
announcement on how to unsubscribe :wink:

I don’t know if you can do this retroactively, there is an option but it’s just for new accounts I think.

Again, it’d have to be done with some programming.
