The current business model of the web is terrible! Invasive ads, annoying paywalls, and the trafficking of our personal data creates a hostile environment for indie publishers, creators, and users alike.
Grant for the Web aims to spark a healthier payments ecosystem built on open standards, giving people more independence and control over how they distribute and monetize content online.
Goals of this session
We’ll share a brief overview of this new ecosystem, so attendees can learn what it’s all about. Next we’ll host a Q&A with early-adopter content creators to discuss what they’ve learned through monetizing their work using open standards and protocols built natively into the web. Finally, participants will learn about opportunities for content creators, fans and supporters, and ecosystem designers through Grant for the Web.
