Asa and I posted earlier that we no longer have Flame devices to give out. We know there are probably those in the community that have Flames but may no longer be actively using them. If so, would you please do the following:
- Consider bringing them an upcoming Mozilla event – Mozilla Festival, the Orlando Work Week or the Leadership Summit in January.
a. For those going to MozFest, please make a general announcement when the event starts if you have a Flame device available to give to someone else.
b. Point of contact at Orlando will be either Marcia or Asa. We will have a central reclamation box where you can drop off your unused Flame devices.
c. Point of contact at the Leadership Summit will be announced at a later date.
- Contact those in your local community to find out if anyone is looking for a device. At a recent event, I learned that are still many localizers that don’t have devices – and they really need them to be able to test Firefox OS.
Reminders:
- Make sure to remove your SIM card and memory card if you’ve put one in the phone. We won’t be able to return them if you forget to do this.
- Please make sure to clear out any private data on the phone by resetting the device before you pass it on to someone else.
