Fast updates of Add-on data

An add-on review take up to 5-10 days in most cases. (Faster than before )
We sometimes change non-executable data in an add-on that needs very quick updates for functionality/security. Some add-ons do use remote servers to update data, but I don’t like that. (Unreliable for some users and offending privacy)

Do you have any idea? Thanks.

There are certain rules regarding remote data:

  • It must be data (not executable) and inserted or used as data (not in any way that can result in execution)
  • The data exchange must adhere to privacy and security rules
  • The frequency is also a factor as it can affect performance

AFA reviews, they can sometimes be done the same day. If the changes are only data (not code), the review will en very quick.
