When I start firefox or go to most web pages the print for the lettering is very faint and hard for me to see. Is there an add-on that makes the words darker or even Boldface?
I hardly to see the standard view.
See Preferences -> Content -> Fonts & Colors
Have you tried to make the font bigger? Ctrl + + will do that.
Another feature is Enter Reader View via the Addressbar, if it is available in the tab.
I took what you said and went to reader view and installed it, but the
open book did not appear on the page any place. In the meantime I found
how to change to font color and size. I wonder why readers view will not
appear . I have firefox 42 and windows 10.
As far as I know Reader View comes with Firefox. I have it in 42.0 on ubuntu as well.

I don’t know yet which pages offer a reader view and which don’t.
I went to my laptop with Ubuntu on it and installed reader. I love it. I
still can not find it when I am using windows 10 and firefox on desk top
