“Duplicate add-on ID found” how to find the original account

Hello,

For my company I have to produce a new version of a thunderbird plugin, and when I submit it to sign it I have the folowing error : "Duplicate add-on ID found"
I don’t want to publish it addons.mozilla.org, just to sign it and to provide it by an external web site

The former developper says he has never plublish the plugin.

To test it on the signin process, I have submited it with another id
em:idmss2.thunderbird@asip-sante.fr</em:id>
instaead of the original
em:idmss.thunderbird@asip-sante.fr</em:id>

Can you find the submiter of a spécific plugin ?
And if so, can you either

  • send him a mail
  • or send me his email

Many thanks
Laurent

We can try contacting the developer for you. Which add-on are you referring to?

Hi,

The plugin’s ID I’m talking about is mailto:mss.thunderbird@asip-sante.fr mss.thunderbird@asip-sante.fr

Its name is : MSSanté

If you can contact the développer and ask him to contact me, it would be very helpfull

This user submitted the add-on a while ago, but never completed the submission. It looks like you can contact them via the contact form on their website, so I suggest you give that a try.

Hi Jorge,

A great thank for your help, it is exactly the information I need.

Best regards,

Laurent

Hi, I am having the same problem, and the XPI I want to sign has never been registered at AMO site. Is it possible that I send you the ID I am using and check its availability?

Yes, you can post the ID here or send an email to amo-admins AT mozilla DOT org if you want to keep it private.
