There are features to pull blog posts into discourse, and to show discourse comments on websites.
We should dogfood this with a Community IT blog.
Do you guys happen to know if there is a feature where people can comment into the discourse from a thirdparty site? Something similar to how disqus works for instance?
@fuzzyfox Yep, it’s possble. See this blog post, it also has a working example.
@Kensie, there is a wordpress plugin that does exactly this. My guess is a Community IT blog depends on the WP Multisite being up.

Discourse devs don’t want that feature (iframe comments) but you can embed some and link to the original thread:

I’m guessing then that it should be possible to extend Discourse with this functionality if we wanted it then? A Discourse extension as it were… or some kind of extra service that uses the API to do so (hopefully the former though).
