Hello. I was wondering which ways are available to open a new tab page.
F.e. the “New Tab Tools” addon opens a new tab without a custom url in the address bar.
On Google Chrome, “Metro new tab” works perfectly the same way but on Firefox (where i want to use it) it just “links” to a HTML page. It takes sometimes more than two seconds to load this new tab page, while Google Chrome opens it immideatly. Can this be configured some way around? That would be a better question for the developer. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear they provided contact information. It could be that there’s a difference in behavior between the Chrome API and the WebExtensions API, but it would require looking into the code closely to figure out.
