This session is facilitated by Sam Rose, Eddie Rose

Show on schedule

About this session

Participants will be shown a variety of basic HTML tags and ideas for websites, and then, using pre-existing templates, will customise their own webpage. Later on in the session, participants will be talked through the basic ideas of CSS, and will be able to customise a CSS script to control the settings of their page. Finally, at the end of the session, they will run a script which will upload their webpage to a Github Pages site for them to be able to view online, download and then work on at home. Participants will share what they’ve worked on, and some small prizes will be given out, based on what has been undertaken within the session.

Goals of this session

For participants to understand the basic principles of website coding using html and CSS, and for them to program and publish a basic site online.
