I created a Google translate WebExtension that did not pass the AMO review. I will try to make it AMO-compatible but until then, can I ship updates to users?
See update_url on https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/manifest.json/applications, but probably not what you’re looking for.
Alternatively you can use the beta channel on AMO if the extension is listed: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/Distribution#Beta_versions
