Building Meetup.com alternative?

Hi all

I am organising rust events (meetups, talks and RustFest) in Zürich Switzerland.
Yesterday Meetup.com was sold to WeWork that appears to be a purely ROI driven company.

Did you already start building a replacement?
If not, I would like to build something similar to meetup, but as OSS.
