I know the obvious shortcuts to switch between tabs, but what about tab search?
If there isn’t a built in shortcut for searching open tabs, can you suggest a Firefox extension that does this?

ctrl-shift-l (or cmd-shift-l on Mac). 
That actually toggles the sidebar open and closed, but as a side-effect it focuses the search bar.
