everything looks fine on my desktop firefox.
on my Oneplus 6, even thou I can see the list of notes (their first few lines of content is also shown), when I tap into any note, it is completely empty.

I am seeing the same thing. Android 8 on Moto E5.
Same on my LG V30 (8.0) and Lenovo Tablet (7.1). Stopped using it and moved to Google Keep.
