Are the AMO team going to come up with a plan to tidy up all the 1 star reviews that were mistakenly left by users recently when Firefox disabled every add-on?
There was a rush of 7 such reviews for my extension. That’s more than the extension would normally get in an entire year (and most of those in the previous 8 years are bug reports, support requests and complaints about functionality removed in WebExtensions rather than valid reviews so really the difference is even more stark).
Given that these ratings and reviews are intended as a way to help users, it would be a shame if they could no longer be relied upon to provide an estimate of the quality of an add-on.
Happy to discuss potential solutions here but I didn’t want to pre-empt whatever post-disaster internal planning is going on behind the scenes already.
