Access from devtools panel to the browser UI elements

Hello.

Looking at devtools panels document, I wonder if it is possible to add a panel to the Browser Toolbox too and access browser UI elements? This could allow not just to write custom tools for debugging, but I am thinking about prototyping next level Firefox localization interface, and in this phase it would be perfectly OK to run it from the Browser Toolbox.

There is a chance that this will work (but probably not intentionally) if you install the extension in the chrome_debugger_profile profile inside the actual Firefox profile folder.
