Full Flash Aries Master - Smoke Test Results - 53/53 tests passed, no existing blockers

-We used a local server to check OTA because the build was not available on official channels due to bug 1224357.

  • https://bugzil.la/1228513 Turn on wifi and when it is searching aps, turn on “Airplane mode”, the wifi will be toggled on/off alternately
  • https://bugzil.la/1227770 Task Manager sometimes pans over and opens the wrong app when tapping an App Card.
  • https://bugzil.la/1226307 [music] Fast-seeking to the end of the song skips over a song (goes from track 1 directly to 3)
  • https://bugzil.la/1228056 Anniversary/birthday date is the day before selected in contacts
    *This issue is resolved as fixed but is still occurring in the tested build, will verify in the next smoketest.
  • https://bugzil.la/1227295 Unable to modify password after entering an incorrect password for a WiFi network
  • https://bugzil.la/1217928 [New Homescreen] Homescreen App order is not preserved during OTA when moving to the New Home Screen

Several people in the Foxfooding channel complained about not knowing what fixes were in the various updates and what major bugs were still open, and questioned whether we were pushing out smoketests with blockers. This is a daily report that shows the health of the build.

Also I suggested a few times that we have a separate “Builds” threads were these could be posted.

Daily maybe it’s too much noise (IMO), I would go for weekly + a nicer format? I can help with ideas for this if you want to :wink:

I’m sorry but considering builds receive daily updates, once a week seems to spaced out.

People foxfooding are not currently getting daily updates, so having 7 emails per week is way too much noise, rather than a nice weekly email with a summary of all changes.
