I suggestion from the telegram group, on the main MDN B2G OS page the link to port a gaia app is this one: https://github.com/mozilla-b2g/gaia/tree/master/apps
Don’t you think this one would be more relevant ? https://github.com/mozilla-b2g/gaia/tree/kanikani/dead_apps
Is it possible to create a glossary of terms and further explainations in a separate container or someware else?
Terms like kanikani, Gaia, Pine, Gecko, UDEV… to all that it wold be nice to have further informations…
That would be very useful, especially for new users and not so involved ones
I agree too, if it’s not a glossary we should at least explain them somewhere… But it seems to be the better way to do it.
pine, kanikani will be merged back soon to master AFAIK.
Different People invited me to post a “how to do” sugestion here. So i thaught as its Fairphone related and already postet in that forum i will enhance it there and post a Link here. Haveing it double doesn’t make sense because it should get to the MDN in the End… (and its to long)
So if somebody wold like to add the detailed description to the MDN you can copy paste some or all from this place: https://forum.fairphone.com/t/pencil2-b2g-beta-formerly-firefox-os/12443/140?u=novski
Regards, Novski
As I said in telegram, is more logic to me and I think the wrong link, because if anyone is going to port a gaia_apps, the link is going to the apps already ported, while the apps that need be ported is in the other link.
@benfrancis said during the today code meeting that he’s making a list of the current app to convert: https://benfrancis.github.io/gaia/
Maybe we can add this link.
I hope that link will eventually be http://mozilla-b2g.github.io/gaia
Waiting on review from Vivien https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1270532 and figuring out if the gh-pages branch of Gaia is already used for something

Maybe we can add this link.
[/quote]That fine for me.
wow, I think this is a good way for clarify how we can contrinute.
Okay, I fixed it. Now it redirects to kanikani dead_apps
Oh ok, I was about to do it ^^
@benfrancis when the other link will be ready, we will change the current one
@kskarthik: for the supported devices, I think it’s better to split the list in 2 parts: developers phones (fully supported), and WIP support. Just to keep things clear, as if new people come and just look at the list, they will say for instance Fairphone 2 is supported, but it’s still not, just ongoing.
